AI & The Cost Of Convenience
Goldman Sachs has predicted that AI may cost some 300 million jobs globally over the next few years. Economists are excited about the boost to productivity figures, as less human workers are required to produce goods and services. The collateral damage to human lives, workers and their families, is considered all part of the necessary progress to a more technologically advanced world. Excuse me, who is going to buy stuff if they have lost their income from employment having been replaced by AI?
AI Selecting Military Targets In Gaza & Iran
Palantir and the other Big Tech companies like Google (Alphabet), Microsoft, Meta and Amazon are in Israel profiting from the war in Gaza. Palantir has been directly involved in the AI powered selecting of targets. Interestingly, if AI is so much more superior why have there been over 70, 000 Palestinian women, men and children killed as collateral damage in the bombing of Gaza?
