Are Americans The Most Selfish Folk On Earth?
This land of billionaires and oligarchs who boast of enormous fortunes but still pay little tax. Where the rich grow richer and under Donald Trump slash any semblance of the welfare state. A nation where members of Congress stay in power well into extreme old age. Are Americans the most selfish folk on earth? The idea of community seems an alien concept and maybe they confuse it with communism? They idolise the wealthy and the largely fraudulent narrative of the self-made man. A nation of immigrants who now attack the most recent waves of immigrants, as bad people deserving of detainment and deportation.
Selfish & Very Old US Congress Folk
Why don’t these elected members of the federal government gracefully retire in old age and give the next generation a fair go? What is it about American culture that thinks it OK for individuals to stay in positions of power in their 80s and even 90s? How about passing the baton? These self-important folk must think that they are never going to die? America idolises the individual and makes up stories about exceptionalism to justify it. This is why the United States has a preponderance of overly aged political leaders like Biden, Trump, Pelosi, and Bernie Sanders to name but a few.
“At 87 years old, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (D-Calif.) is the oldest member of the House of Representatives. Napolitano has served in Congress since 1999, spanning 24 years and three California districts where she’s represented. The next oldest members of Congress age include:
Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) – 86 years old; Rep. Hal Rogers (R-Ky.) – 85 years old; Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) – 85 years old; Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) – 84 years old
At 90 years old, Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) is currently the oldest senator and oldest member of Congress by age. First elected in 1980, Senator Grassley is the longest-serving Republican in Senate history, overtaking the record of Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) in 2023. Grassley is also the 6th longest-running Senator of all time.”

The Corruption Of The Selfish Careerist Politicians In America
The truth is that the political system in the United States has let the American people down. This is why they have ended up with Donald Trump, twice. People voted for radical change. Unfortunately, they voted for change at the hands of criminals and political extremists. Congress has been bought by vested interests over decades and the will of the people has been sidelined again and again in favour of special interest groups with money and influence. Now, the billionaires have bought Trump and some of them fill his cabinet positions. The result is a bill before the senate bestowing ever greater tax cuts on the wealthy and the greatest reduction in government services seen in many years. The poor and middle class get shafted once again.
Trump Will Be 80 Next Year
Are Americans the most selfish folk on earth? Definitely those in power fit this category. Old white men, in the main, holding onto power for dear life. Trump will be 80 next year. This pampered spoiled individual, the progeny of a very wealthy father, may live for many more years yet. Billionaires protecting their extreme wealth to ensure their dynastic legacy. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and the rest they all lined up behind Trump to kiss the ring. America for the richest and whitest of men! Ship off the immigrants and give the crowd someone to hate and despise. America is no longer the land of the free, not that it ever really was, unless you were, yes, rich and white.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA cult have turned the GOP into the greedy gut’s party. The political party that represents those who already have a lot and want ever more at the expense of those with next to nothing. America has a problem with obesity among its people. Folk sitting on their fat arses a lot. Meanwhile, ICE is targeting brown skinned Americans to tone that population down by detaining and deporting them. The greedy gut’s ethos now running America is not about equal opportunity. In fact, DEI is on the nose in the USA.”
