The political party peddling anti-immigration poison is the same party that promotes deregulation wherever possible. The LNP Coalition, who governed Australia federally for a decade, prior to the Albanese government, let in the same number of immigrants as Labor when you adjust for the Covid bumps to the figures. This right wing beat up over immigration is another misdirected blame game strategy. The actual reasons why so many working Australians are struggling economically and why we have a  housing crisis are not because of high immigration. Does Australia want to be a vassal state of the United States of America? The AUKUS submarine deal puts us in that invidious position. Israel is a worsening problem for Palestinians and the world. This festering boil in the Middle East has reached a critical stage. Democrats in America are scratching their heads over Trump’s victory in the recent presidential election. Soul searching is going on, as to how they lost this contest. Democratic elections are popularity contests. They are part evaluations, part bribery, and mirrors held up to societies. This is a great story and more importantly a true story. It tells us about the nature of human beings and how white people have treated those who have come before them. It is an American story involving native Americans and their displacement by European settlers. It is an American story, also, because it is about money and get rich quick schemes at any cost.
