The US Supreme Court has struck down the Trump IEEMA tariffs on the grounds of unconstitutionality. SCOTUS has ruled that only Congress has the authority to set these types of tariffs. President Trump illegally collected some $170 billion in tariffs over the period in question. This money will have to be repaid and that creates a whole host of new challenges. This dysfunctional government continues to go from bad to worse. In reality, tariffs act as a consumption tax, as prices rise to cover the added impost of the tariff. The American people have been taxed by the Trump regime via these illegal and unconstitutional tariffs. My guess is that ordinary folk will not see a dime from this crooked administration.

The tariffs have been a means of threatening other nations and extracting stuff in return for not making them too onerous. The Trump family have personally profited from these trade strongarm tactics. Meanwhile, globally the Trump tariffs have poisoned international relationships with former friends and allies. Billionaires Not Paying Their Fair Share Of Tax
Donald Trump is a card carrying member of the Epstein class. This shameful club for elites has been exploiting poor schmucks in the USA for decades. President Trump got elected on the back of Elon Musk funded million dollar voter bribes and lots of campaign donations from Big Tech. Big Tech had turned against the Democrats because they were starting to bring in regulation to the unregulated trillion dollar tech sector. Apple, Meta, Amazon, Google and Microsoft CEOs and owners have kissed the ring of America’s ‘would be’ king. What did the Trump regime immediately do upon getting elected to power? Bring in a bill that cut taxes for billionaires and corporations, whilst slashing the services for the poor and needy. The United States is a disgrace under Trump and the rest of the world knows it.

“In calendar year 2025, customs duties raised $264 billion for the federal government, compared to $79 billion in calendar year 2024. Total customs duties revenues count new tariffs as well as pre-existing tariffs, such as those President Trump imposed in his first term. With the IEEPA tariffs being ruled illegal, the tariff revenue collected by the government will have to be refunded. The total revenue raised by tariffs will be less than the direct collections, because tariffs mechanically reduce the bases of income and payroll taxes. We estimate the government netted $36 billion from the new Section 232 tariffs in 2025.”
Trump Continues To Waste Time & Money Applying Tariffs Illegally
Trump illegally collected some $170 billion in tariffs via the IEEMA tariffs imposed upon Americans. In a fit of pique he has abused the SCOTUS justices that ruled against his unconstitutionally applied tariffs. President Trump never takes it on the chin but rather doubles down with further illegal stuff. He has now imposed a global 15% tariff via another highly questionable loophole. The bottom line is that only Congress has the right to impose tariffs and not the President through executive actions. President Trump is an incompetent leader and should be excused from his duties on these grounds alone. The chaos and uncertainty that his administration has unleashed upon American businesses and the US economy is unforgivable. #DumpTrump
