Now, there is a new reason to hate orange. Agent orange, of course, was chemical warfare evil. Fire ant eradication officers in orange marching around your backyard, also, pissed people off. And, as a former ‘orange person’ Rajneeshie, if truth be told, most of us hated having to wear orange. One Nation is the new reason to hate orange. These entitled, older, white folk whinging about immigration and taking Australia back for Anglo-Aussies have embraced the orange colour, as their political signature branding. Their leader, Pauline Hanson, has orange dyed hair or a wig emblazoned that colour. Could this be a redder amber warning light for Australia?
Ugly Politicians Beneath An Orange Banner
Bugger me, king rat Barnaby Joyce joined their ranks and betrayed the Nationals. Can you imagine an uglier duo than Barnaby and Pauline? Backed by the billionaire puppet master Gina Rinehart, these Trump loving politicians are rounding up racists and white supremacists across the land. The politics of grievance are in full swing with Pauline demanding more for, not for workers, but for greedy grasping small businessmen and women. Enough is never enough for those already feeling aggrieved. A million dollar house is not enough. A giant Ute with tax write-off discounts and cheaper diesel is not enough. One Nation wants a 2 class society, where white men are privileged to always get the inside running. Blame it on the immigrant, especially those darker skinned types, is their favourite gripe.
An Orange Capped White Australia
A return to white Australia is the number one policy for the orange capped One Nation party members. They longingly look to Trump’s ICE and the concentration camps detaining brown skinned Americans over there. Inspiration comes in all sorts of authoritarian measures for these assimilation promoting anti-immigration budding politicians. Power hungry extremists corralling the protest vote, as Donald Trump has taught them by his electoral success. Grass roots and astro turfing to bring the racists together under one orange banner. Corruption beckons the power seekers, as they watch Trump profit from selling pardons to criminals and deals to big tech oligarchs worth billions.
One Nation Is A Fascist Call
I acutely remember the One Nation types promoting the No vote at the referendum for Indigenous Australians to get a voice to parliament. Older white folk warning of the perils of granting Aboriginals an empowering voice for Australia. Decades of racist beliefs in every wrinkle on their faces and throats, as they pushed for the No vote. Have we seen a better Australia for our Indigenous brothers and sisters since these old, white, entitled folk won their No vote? If you don’t know, vote No, was their billboard message. Promoting ignorance as bliss for the dominant white cohort of Australians. Now, there is a new reason to hate orange.
