A survey was released recently, which indicated that Peter Dutton was the most unpopular Lib leader ever. The results of the last federal election told us that pretty darn clearly, anyway. Australia was forced to stick with Albo, after the insane energy policies put forward by the Coalition under the auspices of Dutton’s leadership. Nuclear power, which would take hundreds of billions of dollars and decades to ever come to fruition. Plus, it would never complement renewable energy by the very nature of the way it works. You cannot just switch on and off nuclear power stations when you need them – they don’t operate like that. This batshit crazy idea of Dutton’s sunk his and the LNP’s credibility when it cane to energy and the economy.

Peter Dutton’s Massive Failure As Liberal Leader
This article is not about Peter Dutton’s failure, as we were all witnesses to that. Dutton was the most unpopular Lib leader ever. Rather, it is about where Australia has been recently and where we might be heading. Of the last 25 years or so, we have had Coalition federal governments in charge for 20 of them. Counting backwards, we had Scott Morrison who became a much hated PM for his constant lies and misleading of the Australian people. Morrison pretended to be this run of the mill, suburban Aussie bloke but it was largely an act. In reality, he was a back stabbing bastard and his predecessor Malcolm Turnbull would attest to that. Secrecy and opaque dealings with the private sector were legion under Scott Morrison. Appointing himself to head multiple ministries within his government that even his fellow MPs were unaware of was not something this nation had ever witnessed before.
The Liberal Legacy Has Let Australia Down
I must admit I have always had a soft spot for Malcolm Turnbull and do not see him in the same vein of most political leaders on the Right. Malcolm is intelligent, urbane and a good communicator – 3 things most Aussie politicians are not. I always thought that he was batting for the wrong side. Still, it was a tough gig leading this Coalition of knuckleheads like Barnaby Joyce and co. Another low point for the Libs was the brief PM stint of Tony Abbott. A most unsuitable character for the top job and the electorate soon booted him out after his own party relieved him of duties. Abbott is still hanging around in the background like some leering Phantom of the Opera villain. He and his former chief of staff, who is now babbling about conspiracy theories and spewing disinformation on Murdoch’s Sky News Australia. Taking the Liberal Party further Right into Trump land is their remit, it seems.

The Three Amigos
The Three Amigos, Morrison, Turnbull and Abbott could have been a variety act, back in the day, but unfortunately for Australia were second rate PMs instead. What did we see during their incumbencies? Billions spent on consultants after sacking swathes of the public service was a feature of all 3 administrations. There were no savings here, quite the reverse, with more being spent on private consultancy firms like Deloitte, PwC, Ey and KPMG. Yes, the infamous Big 4, now well known for treasonous behaviour betraying Australians over corporate tax laws to multinationals like Google, Uber and Apple to name but a few. The nation lost tens of billions in taxation revenue from this dirty act by PwC.
The Robodebt Betrayal Of The Australian People
Robodebt was, without doubt, the worst government act, which was a thread through these 3 Amigos’ time at the top. Illegal behaviour by government, which cost innocent lives and besmirched the reputations of government services and the Commonwealth forever. SBS has been running a documentary/drama about this disgraceful low point in Australian federal government history. Economically, Robodebt has cost in the vicinity of $2.4 billion to the Australian tax payers. This scandal has still not seen Coalition ministers or their senior civil servants held accountable for the damage done in human lives and financial terms. PwC did two reviews into Robodebt during its 6 years of operation by the 3 Amigos.

Still Waiting For Accountability On Robodebt
The Australian people held Abbott and Morrison accountable for Robodebt and this was partially why they were chucked out electorally. We were all sick of Scott Morrison’s lying about all and sundry while in office. Tony Abbott lost his seat of Warringah.
“One of the Liberals’ leading conservatives and Australia’s 28th prime minister, Tony Abbott, has lost his blue-ribbon Sydney seat of Warringah after moderate Liberal voters abandoned him in protest at the role he played in opposing climate change action.”
Yes, the anti-climate change warrior, and former university pugilist, Abbott was unpopular on these grounds as well. The smug arrogance of these Liberal MPs was tangible throughout their times in office. Pushing ideological campaigns remain their modus operandi; as their fossil fuel masters run them like attack dogs at the hunt. Robodebt was fuelled by an unfounded ideological belief that Australia was riven with welfare cheats ripping off the system. These types were thought to vote for Labor. The dole bludger has long been a trope to demonise the unemployed. This is despite the economic fact that the RBA, our central bank, runs an anti-inflationary monetary policy which requires a 4.5% unemployment rate for optimal effect on the economy. This means that, as of this year, some 732, 000 Aussies need to be out of work to fulfill that requirement. Australia runs a welfare scheme with fortnightly payments below the poverty level on this bipartisan policy of punishing the unemployed. Working Australians support this, in the main, otherwise there would be support for it to change.
Many Aussies like to punch down upon those lower on the food chain than themselves. Refugees, immigrants, and minority groups all cop the brunt of this distasteful inclination at times. This has gotten the Coalition elected 20 years out of the last 25, in part or in whole.
Pissing in The Pockets Of Aussies
Politicians like to piss in the pockets of Australians, telling them that they are better than they really are. It is a popular strategy for politicians the world over. No, you are not racist, as we share a distaste for non-white folk ourselves, they infer. Arabs are particularly on the nose for the Anglo-settler sons in power on both sides of the aisle. The Zionist influencers have been having a field day running politically correct politicians left, right and centre. Murdoch’s newspapers and media platforms have been virulently Zionist and pro-Israel during the war on Gaza. No matter that some 70, 000 women, children and men have been killed by the IDF blowing up hospitals and schools and everything else. Peter Dutton went on a junket tour to Isreal earlier during the conflict and came back singing ‘Hava Nagila’. His divisiveness on this and so, many issues, was probably his death knell in the end at the ballot box. Aesthetic considerations aside, and you can never discount the importance of the superficial in politics, Peter Dutton was an aggressive and combative politician more suited to opposition than the prime ministership.
Dutton was the most unpopular Lib leader ever.
Politics & Power
Hard men of politics, like Dutton and Abbott, are better suited to the backroom than being out front, where they can make babies cry in fright. We see the pretty boys and the non-descript as more usual leadership fare. Albo, Rudd, Howard, Downer, etc. I won’t include the very few women here, as I don’t feel qualified to judge their physical merits and the pool to choose from is so tiny. Power, this whole ugly game is about power, if you have not grasped that fundamental yet. Politics has been described as a brutal sport and it is because the fight for power is always like that. Wars are fought for it, Gaza and Ukraine are the current arenas in focus. The desire for power is, almost, sexual in its ferocity and ability to drive human beings. The Libs are in a quandary, as we speak, because their DNA of late, is all about big swinging dicks ruling the roost. Possibly too many metaphors there. Toxic masculinity is their methodology but this has proven very unpopular with the Australian electoral, which contains more women than men. Aussie women are empowered and vote.
Thus, we currently have Sussan Ley, the first ever female Liberal leader at the federal level. You can see by this historical fact that women are not widely supported within that party as leaders.
The Lib Ascendancy Pathway
Politics is seen as the final stepping stone of real success in the Anglo-settler view of life. The route is usually get born into the right family; go to the best private schools; go to university; be successful in your chosen field whether it be war hero, billionaire businessman, banker, lawyer, GP, sportsman, media personality; win preselection and get elected to the house of reps. It is a male rite of passage in some families. The fact that being far Right is on the nose downunder at the moment, largely thanks to Trump and his tariffs, is a mite inconvenient for these sons of the southern cross. The DNA of the current Liberal Party is all male and brutal meritocracy (which actually means who you know & where you come from). Having a woman in charge is just plain wrong for many in the party. Ideologically it stinks for the Libs. But if they are too Hastie it could condemn them to decades in the wilderness. One Nation could realistically become the opposition. Dutton was the most unpopular Lib leader ever and this has brought us to where we stand now.
“Life as a pissing contest, where only the strong survive, is what this shit boils down to in the end. So, we have an ongoing war, where many thousands die and are horribly wounded. All so that Putin and his Russian bullies can conquer another country and its peoples. This was all about control and domination right from the start. 5 reasons why toxic masculinity is a real problem? “
