The reality is that prior to 1941 there were plenty of influential Nazis running around in America. America First was aligned with the German Nazis in the 1930s. Indeed, the Germans looked to the US and their racist eugenic policies for lots of ideas about how to run an apartheid state. America was a slaver nation for centuries and racism runs deep in the veins of many white Americans. Trump’s MAGA and Musk are steeped in racist values and want to turn the clock back to a time when white men were the undisputed rulers of the roost. Their populism trades on the insecurity felt by many young white American men. Welcoming the Tate brothers to the US is a symbolic action in line with this.

Even misguided men of colour, who I don’t know just wanna have a life like white folk, have foolishly supported Trump. Admiring a blow hard who lies 24/7 is a young man’s character weakness. Trump takes no responsibility for any bad stuff that happens following his actions. Young guys love that style. Trump never backs down in public. He says the stuff that many men would like to say but are gun shy to. Donald Trump has stretched his 15 minutes of fame way past any appointed hour for his come-uppance. I am reminded of what the Italian people did to Mussolini’s body when they finally turned on him. The mob give and the mob taketh away. I hope it comes sooner rather than later.

In this most reckless and chaotic attack on federal workers and agencies tens of thousands of Americans are losing their jobs. Under the cover of claiming cost efficiencies DOGE is removing long serving unbiased public servants and leaving Trump loyalists in their place. This kind of thing was done by the Nazi party in Germany during the 1930s. The eradication of any checks or balances results in unfettered power over the populace. Americans will either have to stand up now or bear the cost of submission. Trump is turning America into a white supremacist male run state where woman are forced to be submissive along with the usual other suspects – people of colour, LGBTQI folk, non-Christians, liberals and any other dissenters. The Republican party campaign against wokeness and DEI leads in this direction.
Republican Party Populist Scapegoats
Populist scapegoats include demonising illegal immigrants and turning them from families looking for a better life into dangerous criminals in the mind’s of Americans. Blame, blame, blame is the name of the political game. BS about Haitians eating pets in Springfield.
Trans people, especially trans kids are lightning rods for folk looking for villains to blame. GOP campaigns love misinformation stories about trans people. Nothing gets ordinary folk more riled up than someone having the temerity to want to change their sex. How dare they?
Nazis traditionally target immigrants, refugees, gays, Jews, dark skinned people and those on the left. Interestingly, Trump is economically targeting Canadians.
