Renewable Energy Is Cheaper

The right wing political parties are in denial of an indisputable fact that renewable energy is cheaper. The transformation of what powers our homes, businesses and lives is well underway. These old culture warriors in the pay of the declining fossil fuel industry are still dancing to an outdated tune, whilst the Australian electorate in the cities have moved on. Legacy media downunder is controlled by an American corporation, News Corp, and they have a vested interest in spruiking negative stuff about the transition to their dwindling viewers. The ABC has ‘no gumption’ and follows the news lead of its commercial rivals, far too often.

“Electricity generated from renewable sources has surpassed the amount of electricity generated from coal in Australia for the first time.”

The LNP Coalition Does Not Support The Transition To Renewables

Why would this be so, when renewable energy is much cheaper? How long can these ‘so-called’ elected representatives go on telling porkies about the facts? Donald Trump might be their hero but he isn’t to the vast majority of Australians. We have had 20 of the last 25 years under LNP Coalition federal governments. Problems with energy costs through inaction and delaying the transition can be laid firmly at their door. They want to put off doing today what needs to be done and make it the next generation’s problem. This is irresponsible. It has been going on for years. Their appeal to voters is to say vote for us and go with the easy and cheap option. Unfortunately for us and our kids this is dire for the planet and for Australia.

The Big End Of Town Pays Bugger All Tax In Australia

Two decades of LNP governments has seen the concentration of corporate ownership in too few hands. This has disempowered consumers and workers. Big gas pays bugger all tax downunder and why is that? Whyt do foreign owned multinationals get to not pay corporate tax?  We all pay income tax, unless we are very wealthy and can afford accountants and family trusts. The Libs have paved the way for the big end of town to pay bugger all tax downunder.

Renewables Are A Cheaper Form Of Energy

The truth is that renewable energy is cheaper. It does not matter how often they obfuscate this fact with negative stories about renewables. Renewable energy is cheaper any way you slice it. The fossil fuel lobbyists and firms donate generously to the 2 main political parties in Australia. They buy influence. They donate more to the LNP Coalition, as you can see by their more craven policies around energy in Australia. I would like to see those in these parties who have purposely delayed the transition to face criminal charges when things really heat up in the lives of our children. Of course, in Australia the elite never face consequences, just look at Robodebt. They look after their mates even across the aisle.

Old Media Keeps Churning Out Negative Stuff About Renewables

We have a dearth of good news about renewables and the transition because the old media is in the pay of mining corporations. They are the big advertisers along with the gambling ads by online bookmakers. What a dirty cabal of influence peddlers. Channel 7 is owned by Kerry Stokes who makes his money out of the mining business via machinery sales and hire. They will not go quietly into the dark night. Rather, they want to prolong it for as long as possible to make as much profit out of it, as possible. They don’t care about what is best for the country.

Aussies Getting Poorer

“Why is everything so expensive now? What price life? Why are we getting poorer? First and foremost, the entire economy is set up to greatly favour owners over all other parts. Investors are owners, of course, and the company executives operate on their behalf. Shareholders are king and everyone else runs a poor second. Thus, profitability is always the prime consideration and profits have to constantly increase to satisfy the shareholders. Plus, executives manipulate the stock price through buybacks to enrich themselves wildly. This is where we get all the billionaires from. Elon Musk is a prominent illustration of this, the richest man in the world.”
