Authoritarians and their regimes like to spell shit out for their subjects. Some of you older folk may remember that the USSR had a news organisation/newspaper called Pravda. This was the official platform of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Pravda meant truth and many of us in the west used to roll our eyes at what passed for truth and facts over there. Now, we have Truth Social and Donald Trump in America. The parallels are pretty frightening in this post-truth world. The thing is that people are getting dumber and that naming something like this is enough for the unquestioning among us. Irony is a rare commodity in the United States in the 21C, perhaps more so than these rare earths the Donald goes on about so often. Propaganda folks!

King Trump & Let Them Eat Cake
Totalitarian regimes love official organs of the state. President Trump, we know, sees himself as a king or an emperor. He is building a ballroom at the White House in the style of Versailles; with all that glitzy gold leaf he is so fond of. Meanwhile, Trump and his GOP party are stripping the poor of health benefits and food stamps. It is very, ‘let them eat cake”. Who in their right mind elects a billionaire to run the country if they are poor? Americans are not the sharpest tools in the shed, as we know. Stupid is as stupid does. The US is so riven by identity politics that folk vote against their own interests. Meanwhile, Truth Social pumps out non-stop lies 24/7 from the President.
Super Heroes & Truth Social
Americans, and the rest of the world, have been assaulted by decades of super hero movies. This is a sign of the dumbing down of the intelligence of a generation, living in a fantasy world. Young men think that pumping iron and dressing in Lycra will save the world, but unfortunately they have been exercising the wrong muscle. Their brains have atrophied at the same time, rendering them pliable in the scheming hands of the Big Tech oligarchs like Elon Musk. The middle class have been economically under attack and Spiderman or Batman wont save us. Getting a tattoo and constantly looking at yourself in the mirror will not solve the crisis we find ourselves in. American businessfolk and their multinational corporations have stolen our lunch. Housing is unaffordable for large swathes of the world and its population. The price of everything continues to go up, food, energy and a roof over your head. The share market is good, however, so some of us are reaping the rewards. Not those who just want to work a job and raise a family, No, for them the cost of living is getting more unmanageable by the week.
Incompetent Trump & His Tariffs
Trump has taken tariffs of some food items. A smart leader would not have imposed them in the first place because he or she would have known what they are doing. This is America, where they elected an incompetent President on the basis of culture wars and identity politics. Donald Trump then assembled a cabinet full of extremist crackpots and celebrity pay TV hosts to run the country. Is it any wonder that more than a million jobs have been lost this year alone? That prices for everything have started rising again? Tariffs have stalled the US economy, as businesses don’t know WTF is going on? Uncertainty and chaos are the hallmarks of Trump’s America. The government was shut down for the longest duration ever. Why? Because the GOP would not negotiate, which is how the government has always been run. Meanwhile, Truth Social pumps out non-stop lies 24/7 from the President.

He Man Trump & The Toxic Truth
